This photo tutorial with show you how to place/change a photo in the 'editable image field' of your PDF printables. With all of my editable printables you will need to open them with the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader. This tutorial uses the latest FREE version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. If you have an old version or need to install it for the first time, you can download it here. 

IMPORTANT NEW NOTE: If you have an OLDER COMPUTER & cannot download the latest version of Adobe Reader DC... Because of this you will replace the SAMPLE IMAGE with a PDF IMAGE. To create a PDF IMAGE of your CROPPED JPG IMAGES, please CLICK HERE to follow this tutorial - - THEN you replace the SAMPLE IMAGE with your PDF IMAGE instead of a cropped jpg.

PLACE IMAGE IN A PDF

HOW TO

OPEN PRINTABLE PDF - 

1 - Click on File > Open...

 

2 - Navigate to where you downloaded your PDF and
     c
lick OPEN...

 

Best Practice: ALWAYS, open Adobe Reader, then open the editable PDF.

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

MAKE SURE TO CROPPED PHOTOS TO THE SIZE INDICATED ON YOUR PDF PRINTABLE.

 

TO CROP PHOTOS - FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL HERE... OR... WATCH THE VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE... 

CHANGE PHOTO IMAGE - 

3 - CLICK ON PHOTO - and a window will open. 

 

4 - CLICK ON BROWSE BUTTON  - a window will open.

5 - Find the PHOTO iMAGE you want to use, click SELECT.

 

NOTE: For older computers which have an older version of Adobe Reader and cannot install the Adobe Reader DC.. you will replace the sample image with a PDF IMAGE. For the tutorial on how to create a JPG into a PDF click here... 

6 -  IT'S ALWAYS GOOD PRACTICE... to make a copy of the PDF you’ve made changes to.... To do this go to
FILE> SAVE AS, and make a copy. 

NOTES -

For photo image to look correct in the image space, you MUST use the photo size indicated on the printable (ie: 4"x6", 5"x7", 8"x10"). ALWAYS crop photos BEFORE placing them in the PDF. Incorrect size photos will leave extra space around photos. For editing photo tutorial: PHOTO EDITING TUTORIAL PDF   

 

 

Best Practices: ALWAYS, open Adobe Reader application FIRST, then go to FILE> OPEN> find your PDF file, and edit the PDF.

If you do not have Adobe Reader as your default PDF reader - - Do NOT double clicking on the PDF to open... Doing so WILL CORRUPT the PDF file's editing format. If this happens... You will need to RE-DOWNLOAD the PDF again and open the NEW PDF as specified above.
